Why the Foundation: The program of our Foundation is
designed for people with special needs and lack of economic means, to
promote the practice of skiing and experience of the mountains,
offering the opportunity for a better quality of life through
diversion and new abilities that enable them to grow on a personal,
social and cultural level.
Why skiing: When the participants discover their aptitude to descend
a mountain on skis, they regain confidence in their own abilities
and return home with renewed hope and joy and the courage to
confront the challenges in their everyday life. One phrase that we
often hear at the end of a skiing day is: “If I could do this, I can
do everything!”
Why in Bariloche: Bariloche is a mountain city where skiing is one
of the most important recreational activities during winter. Our
Foundation, based in Bariloche, has found in this natural
environment more-than-adequate surroundings to pursue its goals.
Why Desafio Bariloche: To overcome one’s limits in sports is a
challenge, to overcome one’s limitations and the fear that comes
along with it is a challenge, and it is an even greater challenge
when one has a disability of any sort. The purpose of a challenge is
to face it, overcome it, enjoy it and to grow through the whole
experience.
The objective of this campaign is to raise the funds which enable us
to carry out our mission. We invite you to make a contribution as a
corporate partner. We are certain that your participation and
financial support will make a difference for those who will benefit
from our program.
You can be a Corporate Partner with an annual contribution of $120.
With this contribution,a person with special needs and lack of
funds may benefit from our program and change his life as well as
that of those around him.
The funds raised through campaigns and donations will be assigned
for:
- adquisition of specially designed new ski equipment,
- training and hiring of appropriate instructors,
- transfers of the beneficiaries of the Program to and from Mt.
Catedral,
- specially designed apparel and accessories.
